These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Brandlint ("the Service"), operated by Brandlint ("we", "our", or "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Service Description
Brandlint is a copy consistency tool that analyzes pull requests against your brand guidelines. We integrate with GitHub to review code changes and provide suggestions to maintain consistent voice and terminology across your codebase.
Account Terms
- You must provide a valid email address to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must be at least 18 years old or have legal authority to agree to these Terms
- One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one account
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
- Upload malicious code or content that could harm the Service or other users
- Use the Service to transmit spam, phishing attempts, or other abusive content
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without our written permission
GitHub Integration
By connecting your GitHub account, you authorize us to access the repositories and pull requests you specify. You represent that you have the authority to grant this access and that your use of the Service complies with GitHub's terms of service.
Intellectual Property
Your Content
You retain ownership of your brand guidelines, code, and any content you provide to the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process this content solely to provide the Service to you.
Our Service
The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Brandlint and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Service.
Payment Terms
Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. Payment terms, including pricing and billing cycles, are presented at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Brandlint shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Service
- Any errors or omissions in any content
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Brandlint from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Brandlint operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
